「Scientific Reports」に論文が掲載されました

取締役の妹尾 誠が責任著者である論文が、2023年3月20日付で、国際専門科学誌 「Scientific Reports」 に掲載されました。

題名：Inhibition of TGF-β signaling enables long-term proliferation of mouse primary epithelial stem/progenitor cells of the tympanic membrane and the middle ear mucosa

本研究により、これまで不可能であった耳の鼓膜を生み出す上皮幹細胞を選択的かつ大量に培養することが可能となりました。これにより、不慮の事故などで鼓膜全体を失った患者さんの鼓膜を修復したり、中耳性疾患などにより慢性的に鼓膜に大きな穴がある聾者に対する新たな治療法の開発が加速的に進むものと期待されます。
